It was the eve of A Dragon's Tale Anniversary and outside a terrific storm was ripping through the night. Everybody had bundled into bed, that is, except for DRaven. The events of the coming day's events had her so excited she sat on her front porch watching the sky light up with brilliant lightning.

She sipped her tea and took a breath of the sweet summer air. Suddenly, she saw a strange flash in the sky. She thought it was lightning, but it was, purple! Purple? The flash came again, then again! DRaven stood up and watched in amazement as the strange lightning made its way to her doorstep. With one last brilliant flash the lightning stopped right at her feet! DRaven looked down at the ground to see a purple egg. It was small, and as she watched it began to crack! It was hatching!

Bits and pieces of the egg fell off, and soon a tiny purple Dragon lay at her feet. She stooped down to see the creature. It looked up at her, and her heart melted. She took the drackling into the house and soon it was sleeping in her arms. Soon DRaven was asleep too.

The next morning DRaven woke up to the sounds of strange noises coming from outside her door. The drackling was still asleep, curled up on the hearth. She stood and opened her door, and to her amazement, there were dozens of baby dragon's on her doorstep! What would she do with all of them? She decided to ask for the help of DRealms to raise these babies. There were just to many for her to take.
