This message is specifically for those of you folks who are online image/graphics hobbyists - makers of tubes, signature tags, websets, members of the groups for PSP and other image/graphics groups. I have good news! If you're involved with the online image hobby community, you probably are aware that for the past 8 or 9 years I've pretty much had a "No-no"/'Hands Off!" policy when it comes to tubes and tags. It has always been a struggle for me to maintain a good balance between protecting copyright/legal stuff and allowing enjoyment of my artwork for online graphics hobbyists. I've never allowed any kind of tubing, etc. of my images. Until now! I've "given in", lol, and am allowing licensed use of my images for tubes & tags with my new contract with Creative Image Licensing Management - CILM. CILM is a fabulous company that creates tubes from artists' works they have officially licensed, and they create packs of tubed art for purchase for online tag hobbyists. The tubes may be bought for a small, onetime fee, and downloaded directly from their site. They also have a very active forum that you can join and use to show off your very own creations! Once purchased, you have lifetime permission solong as you follow their terms and don't use the art for profit. This is the ONLY usage I allow of my artwork for tubes, tags, and other alterations (in the past I have never allowed such usage, so this is very new for me!). I have three packages already available (each with 12 images) and more will be added soon! PSP USERS Of all the copyright questions and queries that arise, requests to use
Sara Moon works within PSP Tutorials and Stationery etc., by far exceeds
the rest. The use of Sara Moon works as an integral part of PSP creations
is acceptable provided that the quality of the image used does not exceed
600 pixcels at its greatest length and has an original resolution not greater
than 100dpi. Any such works used should be credited to the artist Sara
Moon and a link to this website http://www.sara-moon.com
should be provided within the finished work. If a dedicated page of Sara
Moon related works is created, then a link to that page can be provided
from this site.
All tubes are made with PSP 7.
You do not include them in any archives, collections or CDs. Do not distribute them for downloading or give them out as "snags" in E-mail graphics groups or Msn communities, a simple text link to my pages for whoever wants to download the tubes is ok. I have had a lot of bad experiences with these groups, especially with MSN communities. Mail me if you need them for tutorials, normally I never refuse permission.
The graphics you create with the tubes are of course yours and you can claim copyright. But the copyright for the tubes remains mine! IMPORTANT: Commercial use of the tubes, whether incorportated in graphics for sale, or in sales promotion pages is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN. If you have any questions on that please Email me. DO NOT DIRECT LINK under any circumstances. This is Bandwidth theft and is illegal. Steps will be taken when found. And believe me, I do track down hot-linking, no matter how wise the hot-linkers think they are. And finally DO NOT CHANGE the file name. Even if you do and present the tube as a psp image or even gif of your own - this has happened, - I can still find them and claim them. Every tube comes in it own zip file. Just click on the preview you
like and you can download the zip file to your disk.

I basically ONLY allow usage of my images for display as I, the artist, intended them. I do not allow any alterations of the images, and absolutely NO tubing of any sort. I do not allow my figures to be "cut out" of their backgrounds, no animation, no adding text on the image itself, no changing colours, etc. As an artist I put a lot of thought into how my images look, and they are not to be changed. USE OF MY ARTWORK FOR CREATION OF 3D PAPERS OR DECOUPAGE SHEETS IS NOT ALLOWED Use of my artwork is allowed for the creation of non-profit tubes & sigs only, if you provide the name credit and this web address (caronvinson.com) within the body of the image. Any other use of my artwork is NOT ALLOWED.
Use of my drawings elsewhere: Lately I have been getting a lot of emails from MSN groups asking if I allow my drawings to be used for tags etc. I don't mind this at all as long as you use my name Artwork © Zindy S. D. Nielsen along with my website http://zindy.zone.dk . You may tube, animate, colour them etc. Only thing I don't allow is re-drawings of my work. You may display my work on your private site as long as you mention my name along with it. You may post my star drawings on a fansite, if you have such one. I don't mind that as long as you do not erase my name from the drawing as some do! |
