Welcome Guests... I am DMinstrel and I have the great fortune to be the Co-Leader of DRealm of DSpirit. I can't tell you what an honor it is to fly with the great group of spirits at DRealm and it is truly a pleasure to be working with them. It is said that a person can read all about someone and learn very little about the true person, and on this page, I hope to reveal a little of what makes this 'minstrel' who he is. I do not claim to be anything more than what I am but it is my hope that you may glean a little insight into the Spirit of my existance in DRealm. I invite you to take a look around and make yourself at home.......Oh, and do not worry about the little pixies and fairies you may see flitting around from time to time... they really are harmless - although mischevious at times, but hey - this is a minstrel's dwelling and they too are my guests.
First off... a little background information....
I was born in Macon, Georgia in February 1959 and have lived in Florida, Alabama, California, Kansas, Virginia, Louisiana, Germany, Korea, Hondura's and now reside in SE Alabama. I am proud to be a retired U.S Army Helicopter pilot and Maintenance Officer with a little over 20 years of service to the great U.S.A. I am severly proud to be an American and although I admit that my country has made mistakes, I contend there is no better place to live. This country owes no one anything but offers the opportunities to everyone to exceed their greatest expectations.
I have three children who are now grown and have families of their own. I am the proud, but spoiling, Papa to6 grandchildren, 3 girls from my daughter Robyn...and 2 grandsons and one granddaughter from my oldest son Bryan. My youngest child Greg is married a beautiful woman name Miranda and as of yet - they do not have any children... LOL
I enjoy reading fantasy books (who would have thought...), love my NASCAR (GO Dale Junior) and goofing around on the computer. I am a hunter and the occasional fishermen. I consider myself a Republican although I am not a hard core "party" member. I will usually vote for the candidate that I feel will do the best for America regardless of party. I am more of a "America First" kind of voter although I acknowledge the responsibilities we have towards our earthly neighbors.
I have been involved with the Site Fights since about October 2000 when I joined DJester's Royale as a fighter and very soon after that, became a Spirit for DJesters too. Thus began my adventure with DRealm and The Site Fights and oh my... what an adventure it has been. On April 1st, 2001, DStarCatcher offered me the position of Enchanted Spirit for DJesters and I gladly accepted. In June of 2002, I had to leave the Site Fights for health reasons, but returned on October of that same year as Spirit Wizard Keith for the Enchanted Castle (where I won the Dome as a fighter in Oct 2003). When the Castle closed down, I moved to the DFreedom Fighters Spirit Team (where I have also been a fighter and fairy in 2001) and on 20 January 2005, DMagic graciously offered me the position of ES once again for DJesters. When the Teams mergerd, I became one of the ES's for the DWings Spirit Team.
I have been a fighter, a spirit, a fairy, a quill and Team Assistant. I have won the Dome 3 times on two different teams with two different sites. I write three articles for the Spirit Spark. I currently hold the positions of TA - DMentor for the Legends of TIme, ES Wizard for DRealm of DSpirit and DMinstrel for DRealm of DSpirit. I am also a fighter for the Legends of Time with my site - "The Wizard's Keep".
My philosophy regarding "SPIRIT" is very simple... help, assist and provide support to everyone that you come across in any way that you can. This applies to anyone across the Site Fights that needs help or assistance or just a happy shot of spirit in their lives. Spirit is a wonderous thing really... the more you give - the more you have to give and the more you share, the more that comes right back to you. The Site Fights is the place on the internet where anyone, young or old, male or female, black or white, American or other can come together and be a part of something very special, very open and vey friendly. And to this family on the Net... I pledge my spirit with a heartfelt thanks for all the fun, friends, support and love that you have shown me since my journey began.
