"We still need a ball," Lady Midnight observed. "Did anyone bring one?
"I have a beachball!" Fairy Kaylay said, running over to her travel sack. She quickly unzipped it and began searching for the inflatable sphere, but a few minutes' search turned up nothing. "Well, I had one, anyway," a confused Kaylay concluded with a shrug.
"Never mind," said Lady Midnight, beginning to search her own sack. However she, too, came up with nothing. "That's odd," the she said. "Especially because I know I packed at least three."
Fortunately, the Jesters had the ever-ready DHarlequin on hand! "Hey DH! Throw us a beachball, will ya?" Eppie called.
"Sure," the leader answered, interrupting her nap to take stock of her own belongings. DHarlequin had earned a reputation for always having whatever a teammate might need, and certainly a beachball was not an obscure object to have on such a trip. Yet, she too seemed to have forgotten to pack the instrument. "Or not," she added.
"Well, at least we still have one ball..." Eppie said, looking in Lemmy's direction.
"What do you mean?" a clueless Lemmy responded. Then he remembered the ball he always rode on, lest his feet ever touched the ground. "Ohh... that ball," the clown realized.
Lemmy reached down to collect his constant companion, only to find that it too was missing. "Ok," he said, straightening back up. "This is getting weird. Even for me."
"You know, I ought to have noticed it was missing when I looked at you," Eppie mused.
"Hey!" came a shout. The Jesters followed the noise to LadySusi who, along with Lady Wings, was trying to fend off a beachball from destroying her sandcastle. The beachball seemed to be moving on its own...
Their cries were effective, as the beachball diverted its course. "Catch that beachball!" Fairy Kaylay called but it was too late. The ball was already out of LadySusi's reach.
Just then... Splat! A pie, thrown by an alert fighter, sailed through the air and slammed right into the ball, which flew over the water and into the arms of a waiting DRaeven. The Jesters looked where the ball had been and saw a crab. Left without its cover, it quickly scuttled off and out of sight.
"Well, someone's crabby," Eppie reflected.
The rest of the team looked at her.
"Er..." she stuttered. "Hey! We have a ball now, so let's play."
"I think the net is gone too..." Lady Midnight pointed out. Sure enough, it had been dragged away while the lone beachball had been recovered.
That's when DHarlequin stood up. "Alright team!" she loudly announced.
Lemmy announced. "Those words usually precede work," he muttered.
DHarlequin continued. "Someone's been pinching our stuff, and we have to get it back! First check your bags and let's figure out how many beachballs we had, and then we'll scour the beach for them!"
The Jesters searched their bags, and found that 50 beachballs had gone missing, not counting the one that had been recovered. The hunt is now on. Can you find the stolen beachballs?
Can you find the DJesters' beachball? They are hidden within the bounds of The Site Fights so all urls will begin with http://www.thesitefights.com/ . Once you have found them all (or by August 1st when the DJesters' vacation ends) send the numbers of the beachball and the urls where you found them to Lemmy Koopa or DHarlequin. Wait until you find them all or the end date as only the first entry per person will be accepted.
