Having trouble with a Book? Need a Book? Guestbooks are part of the internet experience: fairies and quills
alike will use guestbooks to drop off gifts and presents and to send dust and party favors flying every where!
Unfortunately no book is perfect (how we wish they would be!), but if you know their quirks beforehand it is
much easier to pick a book you will be happy with (or the least frustrated with anyway)! So here we list some
of the free books available, along with some basic info about them. If you find something you're interested
in just click the book name and you will go straight to that guestbook's website and sign up page.
This list is by no means exhaustive, but it can give you a head start in the Great Book Search! And we hope
you find something that works for you! So on to the matter at hand, here's what some of those notations under
Custom definitions: "+" means full customization available, "/" means some customization available,
"-" means the book can't be customized.

GuestGear is part of the HTMLGear run by Lycos/Tripod. There are three HTML settings:
Full, Basic, and none. The default is Basic and most people do not change this. Basic means
that you can put in the most basic of tags. Bold, Italics, that sort of thing. Only ONE image
is allowed. Links are right out. No tables, either. Full is all HTML and none is no HTML at
all.

Easy to use, emails owner when signed. This one will put up exactly what's typed in.
You hit return - the signature will show that. Pretty interesting.

Requires patience when setting up; can create complex questionaires if desired; breaks
images that usually work in other books even if all tags are closed - the entire image
code must fit on one line to avoid this; a max of 75 entries in the free version
