      and Friendships Begun"

Wadda Ya Mean The Site Fights?

Well no one is actually fighting. We point to various web sites. You visit them and pick the winner. Easy for you. Difficult for them. Unlike the various other awards on the Net, The Site Fights Championship is decided solely by the vote of the Entire Global Community. The Site Fights are a Web site competition based on fun, friendship, and fellowship. DFamily consist of individuals from all over the world who volunteer their time and talents to produce
      "the first Internet Sport."

The more the site advances the tougher the competition. This truly is "The First Sport of the Internet". WebMasters and WebMistresses using all the Web Savvy they can muster to earn that elusive title. The Site Fights Champion.

The winners are chosen by you, the surfer.
The surfers view the sites and vote once daily. Although only one vote per site per ISP is allowed daily, a surfer may vote for as many sites as he chooses.

      Wadda Ya Mean The Spirit?

To define The Site Fights Spirit in this short paragraph would be like saying the ocean is a lot of water. It cannot be truly defined but the meaning is very clear. The Spirit is the attitude and atmosphere of fun, fair play, friendship, and respect for one another. We do not tolerate spamming, flaming, or ballot stuffing. The Site Fights is the showcase of the "Positive Competitiveness" the Spirit brings. The Spirit is what makes this the Friendliest Fight ever. Where else could you fight to make friends?

      The Voting Rules:

Simple. Just Vote. Your vote is your vote.

All Votes must be registered via a Ballot.

The Voting Booth's open times vary slightly according to the team a Site Fighter is competing with.

The team rounds are 5-day events running from Monday through Friday. The Warzone and Dman Dome are also 5-day events.

      The Fine Print

To further promote the "Friendliness" of The Site Fights, You are
allowed to vote for as many sites as you like. Vote for each and
everyone if you want. But you are only allowed 1 vote per site per
      day. per ISP account.

Voters with Multiple ISP accounts will have to register their ballots
while being signed on to that particular account. Email addresses
entered that Do Not match up with the ISP entering the ballot will
not be counted. This is done to help ensure the validity of all votes
and to help avoid ballot stuffing.

      The Competition

Every team has three levels...often called events, rings, or rounds. A fighter begins in the "qualifying ring." Qualification is based on an average number of votes each day. Therefore it varies slightly day to day. Qualifying 4 days of the week advances him to the second round the following week. Qualifying 3 days will earn him a rematch in the same round.

The second level round is scored on a 10-point curve (10 being the highest score) Each day the team leader will tally and post the scores from the previous day. The one with the highest point total at the end of the week will advance to the team's main event. Second and third places will may earn a rematch in the same round.

The main event is scored on the same 10-point system. Again, second and third place may earn a rematch. First place advances to the Webmasters Warzone to compete against the winners of the other teams.

The Warzone is divided into various sections: This Side, That Side, the Other Side, etc. Each team is in one of these sides Again we have the 10-point curve system. The winner of each of the sides will advance to the DMan Dome the following week to challenge the reigning champ. Note: There are no rematches given in the Warzone or Dome.

The final round is the Dman Dome.

After a Site wins the Title of Sight Fights Champion they will be allowed the opportunity to defend their title for two weeks. If successful they will earn a bid into the Site Fighter of the Year Finals. Unlike previous years, the fighter will be allowed to rejoin the competition with their team and continue building their fan base and compete some more.
All sites that win the Dome atleast once will qualify for the Site Fighter of the Year Wildcard round. The Wildcard round will be a tourney of all Dome champs from the year. The winners of the Wildcard round will advance to the Finals with the 3-time Dome champions to determine the Site Fighter of the Year.
The Fighter of the Year competition will begin the week following the Super Bowl.

      How do I join?

To join the Site Fights first read the Rules. If you agree, submit your site. Within a few days DPatrol will view your site. Only sites with a PG rating or less are allowed to compete to keep the Site Fights safe for family participation.

If your site is approved by DPatrol, you are sent an Approval banner to post to your page. Within a few days you will be sent a 'welcome email' with a html code for your page. Use the time to become familiar with the Site Fights and all it has to offer.

Choosing a team:  Each team has a name that reflects it's theme. Your site does not have to fit the theme for you to participate. Every team follows the basic rules but every team is a little different as each leader is an individual. We encourage you to visit the teams and choose the one best suited to you.

When your round begins, a link to your site will be added to one of the ballot pages. Your team leader will notify you of the URL.

Every site competing MUST display a team or Site Fight banner. The Site Fights fairies check each site and anyone not displaying a banner is considered to have "thrown in the towel" and is disqualified.
