ReportsReports are a very important part of your Fairy job. The report you hand in each week gives important information to your Lady or Lord which he/she then passes on to the Team Leader. Each fairy team uses report forms - and by doing so, a copy of your report goes directly to your fairy leader with a copy cc'd to me automatically, but if for some reason the report form is not working, then you need to email your report to your Lady/Lord, with a cc to me...DFairy Luna Gitana (lunagitana@thesitefights.com). What is a report you may ask? Well, each week your Lady or Lord will send you an assignment, or a list of sites for you to dust. It's your job as a Spirit Fairy to go to those sites, check some things out and dust their guest books. What sort of things should you check out?1. You need to check every site to make sure they are displaying some kind of link back to the Site Fights. This link can lead to the Site Fights main page or to the voting area for that site. The link may be an image or a text link. Adoption certificates *do not* count. The link back is very important as it provides publicity and traffic for the Fights. 2. You will be looking for Spirited fighters. If you find a site is showing great spirit, you should nominate it for one of DRealm's awards. Likewise, if you find a fighter that is really shouting it out with some great cheers, you should nominate them for DLoudest Cheer Award. The URLs for the nomination pages will be at the end of the training session. 3. You will be checking for appropriate content. It is important to include a note in your report if you find content that is not PG rated. We are a family oriented entity! Nudity, foul language, extreme violence, hate sites - or links to any of these things - are not allowed. Now comes the next step. After you visit each site and dust their guest book, you need to make
note of what you found in your report. So, how do you do that? Here is a standard report format:
Site name:
Site URL: Link and/or banner to the Site Fights: Yes or No - please be sure to check that link works. Link and/or banner to the Voting booth: Yes or No - please be sure to check that link works and goes to the correct voting booth. Guest book signed or email sent: If the fighter does not have a guest book you can send them a spirited email with some encouragement or maybe a gift. Appropriate content: Note anything here that you may have found or not be sure on. Comments: Things to note here are good spirit pages, good cheers, even a lack of spirit. But nothing negative. And please, no actual commentaries on the sites themselves. We're not a critique and review committee... just Spirit Fairies. :) Please note that some teams require less to be reported on but never more than what is above.
