Email Guidelines

I hope that all of you will make a lot of new friends here at TSF. But please, lets keep correspondence on a personal level - and not participate in the mass mailings of chain letters - jokes - stories - etc. Most of these things have already been around more than once *S* If you add others to your address book after they send you a welcome gift or sign your guestbook that is wonderful!! Most of the Fairies and Wee Ones love to get emails.....but please do not start sending them unsolicited mass mail. A personal note from time to time is a great way to make a new friend. *S*

Many time the mass emails get sent around and do not even contain a signature. Can we really call it friendship if we don't even know who its from? If you have something you think a particular friend would like to see - send it to them individually with a personal note.

Sending something unsolicited (chain letters, stories, vote reminders) is considered spamming - which is highly frowned upon by most people and most servers. It can also cause you to be removed from The Site Fights if someone happens to complain...and we do not want to see that happen to anyone!

Any time that you have something personal to share with ALL of the Spirit Fairies as a group you can send it to me at lunagitana@thesitefights.com and I'll be happy to send your request out in my next email newsletter as long as the message is appropriate. I will send out just about any request, as long as it is something specific that you personally have to share, or it is a special request for someone else (birthday, get well, etc.). The main things I do not send out are vote requests or chain letters.

If you are competing in the Site Fights, and you have a group of supporters - people who you have asked if they would like to vote for you and they've said yes - it is very important to send your vote reminders to them either individually or by using the bcc (blind carbon copy) option in your email program.

Using bcc stops others from being able to see who you are emailing.....and also stops them from being able to reply to them as a group. Sending group mail without using bcc is also a violation of the Site Fights rules - and can be cause for disqualification if someone complains.

Please remember, that as a Spirit Fairy you may not use the email addys that you'll come across in your dusting assignments for any purpose other than dusting or friendship.

I hope that you will have a fantastic time here in DRealm and in the Site Fights.....and making lots of new friends!!

And if you are competing I wish you well in your quest for the Dome!

If you do not understand anything I've said here, please contact me and I will be happy to explain further or answer any questions that you have.
