During the break after the last round
I went down to D'Corner Coffee Shoppe for a cup of coffee.

Just as I entered the swinging door a huge cheer and applause
arose from all of DFamily members seated inside.
My face turned a little pink with humble embarrassment
and I bowed a 'Thank You' to everyone appreciatively.
It turned out that they weren't cheering for me
but (Finally!) for the dramtic end to the World Series.
(I wuz really embarrassed, again, turning a Red color as bright as my SuspendA).
There wuz some discussion about the play of the Indians and the Marlins -
But most of the comments, positive and negative, dealt with
the use of the Network's dazzling display of their video magic bag of tricks.
Replays after replays, slo-mos, fast mos, diagrams and what seemed like
thousands of different angles of the same pitch, hit or play.
The coaches were wired for sound, the umpires masks with video cameras,
allowing the fans to see pitches the same way the umpires see them
(or don't see them as is often the case). Viewers were then treated to
a quick-cut series of the last sequence of pitches for review.
A recent New York Times Editorial mused that probably next year
a camera will be mounted in the tip of a player's bat or glove
giving everyone a view just at the point of contact with a hit or catch.
(Soon technology will create one whole game and it can be played
over and over again, in all of its infinite combinations,
changing the uniforms and players with the push of a button,
and the real players and teams will become obsolete).
Back in my office after the break, I mulled over all that
I saw and heard at D'Corner Coffee Shoppe when
ZAP!!!!!!
I wuz struck with an idea for the Site Fights
so revolutionary and dynamically new and different
that I wondered why no one thought of it sooner.
I had to let Dman and know about it immediately, if not sooner!
I leaned over my typewriter to write him a memo
and raised my fingers to begin......
