Relaxing after dinner in my favorite punching beanbag chair
in a corner of the ring, set in the middle of the living room,
GlendA leaning over the ropes, fanning me with a towel,
spraying a Planters Punch into my mouth from a plastic bottle
and the kids neatly tucked in their corners for the evening,
I had a lot of thinking to do about my new job and my life.
(Thinking hurts my head as much as sustaining blows from ring opponents).
On the one hand it's nice to have a job to go to, where all
my boxing expertise and perspective of the 'Fight Game'
might help another up and coming ContendA, and yet,
on the other hand spending quality time here at home,
during the Summer, with the family means a lot to
GlendA, SpencA and MalendA as well.
(It's also much nicer here than in that crowded, candlelit office at the Site Fights).
Of course being at home one has to maintain a clear, sharp mind,
ready at a moments notice with correct answers and information
when the children ask tough questions.
A good example of this took place earlier this evening when
I wuz dealt another embarrassing blow, unwittingly, by SpencA
when he showed me a puzzle that he said wuz a snap to solve.
(I wuz able to delay answering him until tomorrow,
hoping by then to solve it,
but more about that later.).
Later, at dinner, as we were finishing our Spam Sandwiches,
I asked MalendA how her summer is going so far.
She said that most of her friends were travelling to fun places
for the Summer and couldn't I take some time off so that
the whole family could go on adventure together?
The last time we did that wuz years ago, when I cranked up the
SuspendAmobile and we took off on fun trips of our own.
Now, as I sat in the corner, GlendA rubbing my back and
whispering words of encouragement into my cauliflower ear
saying, "You've got to get hold of yourself. Relax!!!
You can beat this thing, but you have to more offensive.
(I have been known to offend people sometimes, unwittingly).
When you walked in the door this evening, you looked
as though you aged 5 months since you left this morning.

You tell me you're seeing those same little guys you saw
when you took the kids to the Punch and Judy Show...
and logging on to Dr. Kronk's Site doesn't help.
You seem to be boxing youself into a corner
and reaching the end of your rope.
Maybe you've got to change your style....do something different.
Spending all that time in that dark room might be affecting
what precious little you have left of your brain!
MalendA was right, you know, the SuspendAmobile might be the answer.
"AT LAST AN ANSWER!!!"
The answer hit me like a ton of bricks!
(I've been hit like that by most of my opponents many times).
I'm going to load the family into the SuspendAmobile
and we're going to get out of the office for the summer.
We're going to tour up and coming Site ContendAs
entered in the Site Fights and review them for the Rumble Review.
