Who's Dman - Issue 22: D'Bronco Bunnies!

Yes ladies and gentlemen, that's right. Dman and Nick have actually said they would be riding bunnies. Odette and Duncle were looking nervous before entering the stadium. We can only wonder what they are thinking right at this moment as all eyes concentrate upon them. Look at the sweat running down their brows.

I was thinking is this annnouncer on Dtv ever gonna shut up. I was nervous and Odette looked the same. I had never ridden a bunny before let alone a bucking bunny bronco. Apparently several bunnies had been assimilated and were still under the effects of Dstarla's implants. They looked pretty scary. Just in time for halloween I'd thought. This place was getting scary. I had a brief break in the tension as I looked and saw Gayle in the bleachers with Dspot. Kel wasn't far off.

The four of us waited in the middle of the arena. Apparently they'd brought in a special announcer for this competition. He was from D'rodeo and was supposed to be the best in the business. I was told that things were gonna be fast and furious once he took the mike. His truck was parked just on the other side of the stadium. When the door opened all went quite. His yellow shirt and D'ten gallon hat could be seen quite clearly. His step was slow and there was a bow in his legs. It looked as though he'd spent a LOT of time riding. He climed the steps to the mike. He looked over the crowd and took a deep breath.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAWWW!!!!!!

"Welcome everybody to the greatest show yer gonna see. That's right, we've got four people sitting right over thata way who are gonna risk their lives for your entertainment. Lets hear it fer them folks."
The crowd went wild. I saw Dspot hide. The bunnies were going crazy. This was getting scary. What did he mean "risk their lives". Nick was the oly one who looked calm.

"Alright Buckaroos, get up on your broncos and let's git this show started...WOOOOOOO" We all made our way to our respectrive bronce. Each still had implants from the assimilation process and were severly overgrown. Nick had a strange devicein his hand. The bunnies started bucking before we'd even gotten there. We all climbed our gates and took our mounts. I was still unsure as to the rules. "Are ya'all ready to go?!, Release the gates. All four of us released at the same time. This isn't how it was supposed to be. I thought we were gonna go one at a time. Nick had attached the device to his bunny and it calmed down right away. I held on for dear life as the bunny bucked and sway to and fro I could hear the announcer yelling though I couldn't understand what he was saying. I had the ears of my bunny tightly gripped. I saw Nick right in front of my bunny, just sitting there with a smile. He wasn't going anywhere. My bunny spun, and kicked HIGH into the air. It spun again and I saw nick flying into the bleachers. Shortly after that I saw odette floating as she'd been thrown clear. Dman had a scowl on his face as he was determined not to fly off his bunny. I myself was not about to let go. I felt my grip starting to slip. As I flew up into the air I saw Dman go the opposite way. It seems that we'd let go at the same time.

After about 3 hours in the hospitol, I was finally released. I guess it was a bad idea to run back towards my bunny and calm it down. Everyone else came out with only minor bruises. Dman had said that the rest of the contests should have a little less contact with wildlife. We all agreed. Dstarla was also asked to try to contain those she'd assimilated and keep them locked up and prevent any accidents . Since Nick was the first off. Dman and I recieved a gold (tied for first), Odette the bronze. We we up by one point now. This was a tougher match than it had set out to be.

I had gotten stuck in the MUD early in the week. So it took me a while to get this to D'press. I do hope you'll forgive me on this little slip. be sure to tune into Dtv next week as Odette brings you the results of D'rain Dance. It'll be a hoot fer sure. This is D'uncle say Thanks Ya'all.

Don't forget to check out the 5th event D'rain Dance. Please check out Odette's Coloumn next week to find out all about this contest and how it went. (editor's note: Sadly, I cannot find Odette's Column as it too, stopped coming out just like Who's Dman :-/ -- Duncan)
